Granite Mountain Home Care & Hospice Expands Service Area into Maricopa County

Walnut Creek, CA. May 25, 2011 - Granite Mountain Home Care & Hospice, a division of Professional Healthcare and a leading provider of home nursing, rehabilitation therapy, and hospice services in Prescott, Arizona, has expanded its service area southward into Anthem, Arizona and other cities in Maricopa County, just north of Phoenix. This allows the company to provide continuing care to families throughout a larger region of the state and better serve its patients who regularly visit Phoenix hospitals.

According to 2010 U.S. census data, Arizona’s population has increased over 28 percent in ten years, with 109 percent growth in the Phoenix area. “The growth and expansion of our Granite Mountain division is a direct reflection of the growing demands for quality home care in Arizona,” explains John Griscavage, CEO.

As Baby Boomers age, it expected that the percentage of people age 65 and older will grow from today’s 13 percent to about 20 percent in the next two decades, according to the Federal Interagency Forum on Aging. The elder population is the group that experiences increased, age-related health care needs. “The vast majority of people prefer to receive medical care and rehab therapy in their own homes whenever possible, where they can recuperate in comfortable, familiar surroundings,” continues Griscavage. “We are pleased to provide skilled, compassionate in-home care, including the unique, specialized resources available to the entire family during end-of-life care.”

Granite Mountain Home Care & Hospice is a fully licensed agency offering home health services and hospice care to families in Prescott, Arizona and surrounding cities for nearly 20 years. Its service area has recently expanded to Anthem and other cities in Maricopa County. It is part of the Professional Healthcare family of companies that serve residents in four western states:  Arizona, California, Nevada, and Utah. Home health services include nursing care, physical and occupational therapy, post-hospital rehabilitation, wound care, home health aides, medical social workers, medication management and senior care. Hospice services include pain control, palliative care, respite care, emotional and spiritual support, and personal care. Professional Healthcare at Home Expands Its Northern California Service Area into Marin County

Walnut Creek, CA. May 11, 2011 - Professional Healthcare at Home, a leading provider of home nursing, rehabilitation therapy, hospice care, and personal caregiver services in Northern California, has opened an additional, Medicare-approved office in San Rafael to provide care to families in Marin County. “There is a growing need for home health and home care services in the Bay Area and throughout the nation,” explains John Griscavage, CEO. “We are pleased to offer the highest quality care to more families in the region.”

As a full service home health agency, the company assists those who are recovering from illness or injury, or having age-related memory or mobility difficulties. “As a Medicare-certified agency, our clinicians can provide physician-prescribed nursing and therapy care in a patient’s home setting, which is often more comfortable than visits to a medical office or facility,” continues Griscavage. “Medicare patients are sometimes unaware that they can request a home health care prescription from their doctors. Our company can provide insurance information and advice on skilled home care, hospice care, and non-medical services.” Non-medical caregiver services are often needed when seniors are having challenges with activities of daily living, but prefer to remain in their own homes as long as possible. While Medicare does not generally cover this type of care, certain insurances and veterans’ benefits provide some coverage.

Professional HealthCare at Home is a full service agency offering medical, hospice, and non-medical home care to families throughout the greater San Francisco Bay Area. It is part of the Professional Healthcare family of companies that include Victorian Home Care in Monterey and Santa Cruz Counties of California, and Haven HealthCare and Southern Utah Home Care & Hospice in Utah. Southern Nevada Home Care & Hospice and Virgin Valley Home Care & Hospice serve southern Nevada, and Granite Mountain Home Care & Hospice serves Prescott and central Arizona. Services include nursing care, physical and occupational therapy, post-hospital rehabilitation, wound care, home health aides, medical social workers, medication management, senior care, and hospice care. Home caregivers and personal care assistants provide help with activities of daily living, transportation, and companionship.
